Dr. Jonathan van Beek 

DDS, MSc, BSc honors
Dental Surgeon

Dr. van Beek is committed to providing gentle, comfortable and caring dentistry, while connecting with patients and building and maintaining trusting professional relationships.

Originally, from Oakville, Ontario; Dr. van Beek pursued his post-secondary education at the Western University in London, Ontario.  After completing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiology, he followed his keen interest in science studying maternal and fetal health as a national Canadian scholarship award winner (NSERC), publishing numerous scientific articles and completing his MSc.

Desiring to engage more with people, work with his hands, and express a more artistic side, Dr. van Beek chose a career in dentistry.

During his dental studies, Dr. van Beek was selected to represent Canada at the International Association of Dental Research conference in Brisbane, Australia, presenting his findings on ground-breaking genetic research that could provide important new therapeutic tools for averting and treating drug-induced gingival hyperplasia (over-growth of gums). Upon graduation from dental school (DDS 2008), Dr. van Beek practiced dentistry in smaller communities in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Dr. van Beek is an empathetic and attentive caregiver. He demonstrates an excellent ability to establish trust with patients of all age groups.

Aside from dentistry, he wishes he was a better fisherman, loves to ski and enjoys the great outdoors. He continues to share this enthusiasm with his wife Jennifer.  Dr. van Beek and Jennifer are both active in their three young children’s school and sporting activities.

Dr. vanBeek Family Dentistry is so excited to announce that we have EXPANDED! We took over the whole top floor of our building! Our patients are so important to us and we pride ourselves on giving them the best care we possibly can and that is our biggest reason to expand the practice.

We will be having a Grand Re-Opening Party on September 28th 2018 at 3pm-7pm. Please join us for prizes, snacks and tours of our new facility.

Dental Assistants

Kathy is an experienced, certified dental assistant who graduated from Fanshawe College 1983. Kathy has worked in the office for the past 20+ years. She has taken several assistant courses to broaden her knowledge on the implant process and has also completed an indepth sterilization course. Kathy’s gentle manner and confidence will put your mind at ease and she will ensure that your experience is comfortable and efficient.

Treena is one of our newest team members to join our office. Treena is a full time dental assistant that graduated from Medix college in 2017. Her passion for dentistry started as a young teen when she required veneers on her front teeth, she then went to complete high school and went though for a dental assistant. Treenas favorite thing about working in the office is being able to spend time and create a professional relationship with her co-workers and all of our patients. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends.

Jacki is also a newer member to the team. She can be seen in the office on Thursdays assisting Dr. Dias and welcoming patients on Tuesdays. Jacki graduated from… in… and spent her earlier years living in Vancouver, BC. After moving to Goderich area with her partner she took a break from the dental community and had two wonderful children. Jacki started at our office in late 2017 and we are all enjoying working along side her. In her spare time she love to spend time outdoors, go skiing and being with her family.

Registered Dental Hygienists

Joanne has been caring for our patients dental hygiene needs at our practice for 17 years. Joanne received her training in Dental Hygiene from Fanshawe College in 1992.  Joanne has a strong commitment to life-long learning and professional development as a hygienist. In her free time Joanne enjoys spending time with her family, reading, staying active and keeping fit, creating healthy recipes in the kitchen along with sharing her passion for ENJO with others.

Vicky has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2005, and has been working for our practice for 13 years. Vicky’s friendly nature, thorough attention to detail and clinical excellence will ensure you receive quality, professional hygiene care. Vicky is committed to staying up-to-date in regards to professional practice.  Vicky has received additional training on Infection Control and Anti-spetic techniques, which we have implemented at the practice to continue to ensure optimal health and safety conditions for our staff and patients. Vicky is certified in laser therapy for the treatment of periodontal disease. An adjunct to regular dental hygiene care to promote optimal health in the gingival tissues. In Vicky’s spare time she enjoys spending time at their cottage up north and being outdoors with her husband, son and dog. 

Lori started providing exceptional care at our office in 2017 when Vicky left on maternity leave. Lori has always had a passion for dentistry since working part time in high school at a local dental office. From there she went to Ottawa to take level 1 dental assisting at Algonquin College and then completed her level two dental assisting in PEI. In 2010 Lori made the decision to go back to school in London at Medix and complete Dental Hygiene, at this time she received the Golden Scaler Award and graduated on the honor roll. Lori has taught Dental Assisting at Medix and is currently on the committee of The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.
Outside of work Lori enjoys spending time with her Husband Jeff and is a proud mother of 5 children, as you can see Lori has a true love for dentistry and everything that comes with it.

Susan graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Fanshawe College in 1998 and since then has been providing exceptional patient care. Susan spends her Fridays in our office performing Dental Hygiene and the rest of her week at an office in Clinton. Susan join our team back in November 2017 and we couldn’t be happier having her here in the office.

Treatment Coordinator/Dental Receptionist

Veronica graduated from Fanshawe Office Administration in 2015 and since then has been working along side our team here in the office. Veronica was always interested in dentistry and since working in the field her passion has grown. As the treatment coordinator in the office she will help you understand your extensive treatment plans with ease and is always eager to sit down with anyone and go through the treatment steps to insure that you completely understand the treatment that is being offered. When you can not find Veronica in the office she is outside adventuring with her husband Brad and their German Shepherd Simba.

Office Coordinator/Dental Receptionist

Cindy is an experienced dental assistant, with an outgoing, friendly personality. Cindy is a wonderful lady who enables everything to run smoothly at the practice and continues to ensure the highest quality dentistry in a friendly, professional and caring manner. Cindy started her dental career by cooping at Dr. Campbells dental office in Goderich and her love for dentistry grew from there. She graduated from Medix college for Dental Assisting in 1996 and has worked as an office coordinator at our office for 4 years now. Cindy is very interested in the surgical aspect of the dental community, she has completed a dental assisting implant course along with several sterilization courses. When Cindy is not in the office she can be seen enjoying her trailer at Pine Lake with her family and friends.
